February 6, 2015: I am showing paintings featuring California’s diversity during January and February at the David Henry Gill Gallery at the Pacific Grove Art Center with my painting friends in an exhibition titled “Painting the Golden State.”
The Santa Cruz Oil Painters (a.k.a. the Happy Painters) was founded in 2001 by a group of us to support oil painting. The camaraderie and encouragement that I receive from this group inspires my painting. Twenty four members are exhibiting over 60 paintings, through February at 568 Lighthouse Ave., Pacific Grove. After seeing the exhibit, plan time to visit the coast and walk the trail. I’ve seen some huge tides around the full and new moons at this location. I will be at the gallery in Pacific Grove for First Friday on February 6, beginning at 7pm.
