“The week after Richard and I visited this location, my artist friend Skip and I went there to paint. The sky was a bit more gray that day, which tends to make colors more intense. That was when I painted “Above the Mist”. When I returned home, I decided that this location would become my focus for a lengthy study. This one of a kind 12″ x 16″ Hausman original oil painting is on a canvas mounted board. It was primarily painted plein air – on location. Final touches were achieved in studio. Painting support is a SourceTek linen panel with canvas mounted on birch.
Painting may be purchased unframed or with either displayed frame. The unframed painting will arrive securely boxed, but without wiring or other hanging materials. This option is a good one if you wish to browse your local frame shop for the presentation which best accords with your home style and your own taste.
The displayed framing includes a gold 3″ wood frame with decorative corners and a black 3.5″ frame with a gold filet. If you choose to purchase it with a frame, the painting will be shipped mounted in the frame and fully wired, ready to unpack and hang immediately.
