“Shark Fin Cove is a well known painter’s spot just south of Davenport between San Francisco and Santa Cruz. The unusual formation looks like a shark’s fin. In this painting, I put the “fin” in the foreground and focused on the ocean and the shadow cast by the opposing cliff. Wildflowers of oxalis were in full bloom during this winter paint out.” – mh
